The Massage Therapy Foundation’s International Massage Therapy Research Conferences are designed to bring together an engaged community of thought leaders, educators, therapists, and allied health practitioners to discuss massage therapy research. Hunter Groninger, MD is a Professor of Medicine at Georgetown University, Director of the Section of Palliative Care at MedStar Washington Hospital Center and Scientific Director for Palliative Care at the MedStar Health Research Institute. He has also served as a Master Facilitator with the Education for Palliative and End-of-Life Care (EPEC) Program at Northwestern University. His research interests include palliative care delivery in cardiovascular medicine, innovative symptom management strategies, language and word choice in complex communication and the medical humanities.
Jennifer Hauschulz, BCTMB is a massage therapist and instructor of medicine for Integrative Health and Medicine at Mayo Clinic. She is also the Associate Program Director for Mayo Clinic’s Hospital-Based Massage Therapy course and has been published in the International Journal of Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (IJTMB), Explore: The Journal of Science and Healing, Complementary Therapies in Clinical Practice, and Global Advances in Health and Medicine.
